José Vala left the technical command of Caldas, putting an end to a connection of more than ten years with the club, and announced this Monday the formation of Liga 3 in an emotional statement released on social media. The coach presented the management with an “irreversible” decision, after, following the controversial qualifier against Sp. Braga, for the Portuguese Cup, he had already made the place available, at a time when the club refused to let him leave. In the statement, Caldas emphasizes that José Vala's decision represents "an even greater act of love", explaining that the coach chose to leave because he felt that this was the best way to protect the club. «He leaves because he feels that protecting Caldas is the greatest act of loyalty he can show to him», reads the note, which reinforces the management's total trust in the coach's work and leadership capacity. José Vala was linked to Caldas for more than a decade, first as a player and then as a coach, in a journey marked by stability and deep identification with the Ribatejo emblem. The club recalls that the coach “always stayed out of love” and that his departure is only because he understands that Caldas “is above any name, position or legacy”. The management guarantees to understand and respect the decision, leaving a message of recognition to those who helped to write “by hand” a significant part of the club's recent history. «It's time to process. It's time to rebuild. And we will do it», concludes the statement.
