Frenchman Willi Delajod was appointed by UEFA to referee the match between Go Ahead Eagles and Sp. Braga, in the eighth and final round of the Europa League league phase.
The Minho team’s trip to the Netherlands will therefore be led by a referee who already has a history with Portuguese football, having officiated in 2021 a match in the I League between Paços de Ferreira and the arsenalistswhich ended in a 0-0 draw.
Delajod will be assisted by compatriots Erwan Finjean and Valentin Evrard, while Marc Bollengier will act as fourth official. The video referee will also be two experienced judges: the Frenchman Bastien Dechepy as VAR and the German Sascha Stegemann as AVAR.
Sp. Braga arrives at the final round of the league phase in fifth place in the standings, in a privileged position to ensure direct qualification to the round of 16 of the Europa League.
