Dutch Serdar Gözübüyük was appointed by UEFA to referee Juventus-Benfica, in the seventh round of the Champions League phase. The 40-year-old judge will have compatriots Patrick Inia and Rogier Honig as assistants, while Jeroen Manschot will be the fourth official in Turin. VAR is in charge of the Belgian Bram Van Driessche, who will have the Dutch Dennis Higler (AVAR) at his side. Serdar Gözübüyük has already refereed Benfica on two occasions: last season, in the victory against Atlético de Madrid (4-0), in the Champions League phase and in 2021/22, in the three-goal draw at Liverpool's home, in the quarter-finals of the Champions League. Benfica visits Juventus this Wednesday, in a match scheduled for 8pm. With two rounds to play, the Reds have six points and occupy 25th place. Juventus is in 17th place, with nine.
