Alpine has already put its single-seater on track for the 2026 Formula 1 season. The Enstone team carried out the shakedown of the A526 at Silverstone, taking advantage of the traditional British wet weather scenario for the new car's first kilometers. Pierre Gasly was the driver chosen for his debut on the track, now equipped with a Mercedes engine, in a session aimed mainly at checking systems and getting the first sensations. The Frenchman will have Argentinean Franco Colapinto as his teammate in 2026, although it is not yet defined when he will drive the new single-seater for the first time. The official presentation of the A526 livery is scheduled for Friday, in Barcelona. Even so, images circulating on social media indicate that the color scheme should not undergo significant changes compared to the previous season. Serious preparation for 2026 starts next week, with the first official pre-season test in Barcelona. After that, Alpine will participate in two more three-day tests in Bahrain, before the start of the championship, scheduled for the Australian Grand Prix, between March 6th and 8th.
