Mercedes driver Andrea Kimi Antonelli suffered an accident near his home in San Marino on Saturday and emerged unharmed, the team confirmed in a statement this Tuesday. «Kimi was involved in a traffic accident on Saturday night, near his home, in San Marino. The police were at the scene, after being called by Kimi. His car was the only one involved and, although the vehicle had damage, Kimi emerged completely unharmed", says Mercedes, in the official note released in the last few hours. According to the Italian press, since the Gazzetta dello Sport has RaiNewsthe car in which Antonelli, 19, was traveling, crashed into a retaining wall located on the San Marino highway, in Serravalle Castle. It is not clear who was driving and, according to Italian media, authorities are investigating the causes of the accident. The remaining occupants – not specified how many – also escaped without injuries.
