2025 was a particularly difficult year for football fans, with the traumatic match of Diogo Jota and brother André Silva in a tragic accident in Zamora, Spain. A death that took on a global dimension, with its epicenter in Anfield where a memorial to the Reds' number 20 was erected. It was also the year of FC Porto's goodbye to Jorge Nuno Pinto da Costa“the president of presidents”, as well as Jorge Costathe “eternal captain”. I also mourn at the Alvalade Stadium where Sporting said goodbye to Aurelio Pereirathe “mister formation”, while at Luz, it was Benfica’s moment to say goodbye to the two-time European champion Cruz.
