SC Braga announced, this Monday, the return of Inês Maia to Cidade dos Arcebispos, three and a half years after the defense left. The 26-year-old centre-back, who has been capped by Portugal's youth teams, signs a contract valid until 2028, that is, for two and a half seasons. Inês Maia, who left Braga for Famalicão in 2022 and then went to Besiktas, the emblem of which she joins the arsenalists, confesses to be “very happy” to return to a home she knows well — she represented the main team of the warriors between 2018 and 2022, a period in which she won all the women's football trophies in Portugal «I'm very happy to return. I felt it was the ideal time to return home. SC Braga has always been the club that welcomed me when I was younger and I grew up a lot here. Now, I'm a more mature player and I believe it's the right time to come back and help with my experience", highlighted the defense when signing the new contract. Inês Maia increases Marwin Bolz's range of options in the rearguard.
