This Monday, FC Porto launched a tribute kit to winning the Europa League in 2011, against Sp. Braga (1-0). Through a statement, the club announced the launch of the fourth jersey for the 2025/26 season, which symbolizes the victory in the final on May 18th, thanks to Radamel Falcao's solitary goal. With the predominant blue, also note the yellow stripes in the shape of a «thunderbolt», similar to the design presented by FC Porto in the decisive match of the competition. Silvestre Varela, one of the players who won the Europa League in 2011, was chosen to be the face of this launch campaign. «That season was memorable and is, rightly, in history as one of the best ever for FC Porto. All the fans still often share with me stories of games from this journey, stories of Dublin, their involvement in the city and the game,” he said. The special edition jersey includes a badge celebrating the 15th anniversary of the Europa League final in Dublin. CHECK OUT THE GALLERY ASSOCIATED WITH THE ARTICLE HERE.
