Rio Ave striker Clayton Silva, third top scorer in the League, will miss the game against Sporting, in the 16th round of the Portuguese League, in Alvalade, having received a yellow card in this Saturday's draw, against Gil Vicente (2-2). Clayton was substituted in added time, at 90+1m, having received a yellow card for going against referee Diogo Rosa's instructions to leave the field of play in the nearest area. He thus achieved a sequence of five yellow cards. Also missing for Alvalade is Hungarian midfielder Tamás Nikitscher, who was sent off at 90+9m, due to an accumulation of yellow cards, after receiving a first yellow card in the 90+7 minute. He had entered the field in the 82nd minute. Clayton has ten goals in the championship, one less than Luis Suárez and three less than Vangelis Pavlidis. Sporting-Rio Ave is scheduled for 8:30 pm on December 28th (Sunday).
