Diogo Ribeiro is preparing to return to competition, at the Geneva Challenge, after missing the European Short Course Championships, last December. The Portuguese athlete is part of the under-23 National Team, along with Ema Conceição, Mariana Cunha, Francisca Martins, Maria Moura, Kevins Apseniece, Rodrigo Borges and Gustavo Ribeiro. In this way, the 50 and 100 meter butterfly world champion in 2024 will compete between January 23 and 25, in Switzerland. According to the Portuguese Swimming Federation (FPN), this is the first moment of “evaluation” for the 16 Portuguese swimmers, with some still looking for minimums for the Junior European Championships and the Paris European Championships.
