The program for the first Formula 1 pre-season test for 2026, which starts this Monday in Barcelona, has been revealed. The tests in Catalonia will last a total of five days, but each team will have the right to participate in just three of them. McLaren and Ferrari have already confirmed that they will begin their preparations from the second day, while Williams will completely miss the test in Barcelona due to a delay in the production of the FW48. On each of the five planned preparation days, the green light will come on at 9:00 am local time (8:00 am in Lisbon) and the track will be open for eight hours. If necessary, one of the days can be extended by another 60 minutes, if there is sufficient daylight. The test in Barcelona will take place behind closed doors and representatives of the media will not even be admitted. However, this situation will change during the two tests scheduled in Bahrain in February.
