One day after returning to competition for Sporting's main team, Nuno Santos left a message on social media. The Lions winger stressed that he is back doing what he loves most and assured that he is “full of hunger” to attack the future. «Very happy to be back doing what I love most, playing football. Nuno Santos suffered an injury to the patellar tendon in his left knee in October 2024. His return to the pitch took place on February 1st, in Sporting B's victory over Oliveirense (2-0).
