In a duel in the quarter-finals of the Dutch Cup, AZ Alkmaar beat Twente in a 120-minute battle. They ended up winning 2-1, with a goal from Irishman Troy Parrott. Still with interim coach Leeroy Echteld, Alexandre Penetra started for AZ. Matej Sin put AZ in front after just nine minutes, Kristian Hlynsson leveled the match in the second half, in the 65th minute. With the match already in extra time, Troy Parrott, Ireland's hero, scored the winning goal in the 97th minute, with a half-turn shot. Two other quarter-final games take place on Wednesday, with the last duel scheduled for Thursday. PSV is the last 'big one' in the competition.
