A minor under 15 was identified and another aged 16 was arrested, on suspicion of a crime of robbery on public roads and possession of drugs, as part of a PSP operation in the context of the game between Benfica and SC Braga, in the semi-finals of the Allianz Cup, in Leiria. The suspects “stole a cell phone and shoes from a victim, with these objects being later recovered by the police”, the PSP said in a statement, cited by Lusa, adding that one of the victims had “a narcotic product (2.42 grams of hashish) in his possession”. A source from the Public Security Police told the news agency that the 15-year-old teenager's file will be sent to the Family and Juvenile Court, while the detained young man will be brought before the judicial authority. According to the PSP, four other fans were banned from entering the Dr. Magalhães Pessoa Stadium, for having a blood alcohol level higher than that legally permitted to access sports venues. The authorities also called for everyone's collaboration in adopting respectful behavior, guaranteeing "safety for all who watch and participate in sporting events", and reiterated their "commitment to preventing any conduct that jeopardizes the safety and tranquility of events" of this nature.
