The derby between Santa Cruz and Náutico for the Pernambucano championship ended with a 4-0 victory for the visitors, but one of the moments of the night happened when the score was still null and void. Dodô controlled the ball on the left aisle, when in a gesture of skill he climbed on top of it with both feet... and saw yellow. The referee promptly whistled a foul in favor of Santa Cruz and showed the card to Náutico's number ten. Now, the decision to “punish” players who do something similar was determined by the CBF (Brazilian Football Federation), following other controversial cases with Soteldo (Santos) and Memphis Depay (Corinthians), in 2023 and last season, respectively.
