The PSG women's team was harshly penalized this Monday by the French Football Federation (FFF), after losing three games at the secretariat in the women's First League, due to an administrative irregularity related to Florianne Jourde's leave.

Following a complaint filed by Fleury, the FFF's Federal Regulations and Disputes Commission considered that the 21-year-old French-Canadian striker did not have an international transfer certificate associated with her license when she registered, something mandatory as she previously played for Laval, Canada, in 2022/23. The situation was now regularized, but did not avoid the sanction.

Thus, PSG saw its victories against Fleury (4-0, on 8 November), Strasbourg (1-0, on 19 October) and Le Havre (2-0, on 1 November) turned into defeats, matches in which Florianne Jourde was used. The decision translates into a total loss of nine points.

With this punishment, the Parisian club drops from second to fifth place in the league table, now having 17 points, the same as Fleury, in a season already marked by difficulties, namely in the Champions League, where PSG did not record any victory in six games and was Benfica's opponent.

In a statement, the French capital's emblem announced that it will appeal the decision, contesting the "totally disproportionate nature" of the sanction.

«The club has always acted in good faith and in complete transparency. This is a simple administrative situation, validated at the time by the federation itself, which was later regularized with FIFA", says PSG, further stressing that "there was no undue benefit or harm to third parties".
