Jean-Louis Gasset, son of one of Montpellier's founders and former player and coach of the French club, has passed away at the age of 72. «Son of the house, he marked all those who came across him for his professionalism, his kindness and his desire to transmit knowledge», wrote the Gallic emblem in the note of condolence published on social media. Jean-Louis Gasset is the son of Bernard Gasset, one of the club's founding members, and coached Montpellier's first team on three occasions, the last between October 2024 and April 2025, marked by relegation to Ligue 2.
