The Portuguese Football Federation (FPF) confirmed, this Tuesday, that Leiria will host the team's final preparation game for the World Cup, as president Pedro Proença had already confirmed on Monday. Coordinating Committee for Football Emergencies, which had already held a first meeting on the subject, met this Tuesday for the second time to ratify the decision. The Magalhães Pessoa Stadium will, therefore, host the Seleção's last game on Portuguese soil before the 2026 World Cup. Part of the game's funds will be allocated to the clubs that suffered from the recent calamity. In March, Portugal will face Mexico and the United States, in the early hours of the 28th and 31st. At the 2026 World Cup, the National Team is part of Group K, with Uzbekistan, Colombia and the winner of path 1 of the intercontinental play-off (Jamaica, New Caledonia and the Democratic Republic of Congo).
