Now, entering the final year of his contract with Canadian side Pacific FC, the 50-year-old Mozambican coach has resigned and is evaluating opportunities in Brazil's lower divisions. Linked to Canadian football since 2017 and with particular experience working with youth, the former Benfica defender – the “Comboio da Luz” – took on the role of assistant head coach of Pacific FC in 2022. In between, he completed internships at clubs such as Brighton, Villarreal, Roma, Casa Pia and West Ham. As a full-back, Armando Sá experienced several adventures before establishing himself at Rio Ave, moving to Sp. Braga and making the “leap” to Benfica, where he played between 2002 and 2004. This was followed by seasons at Villarreal, Espanyol and Leeds United, in addition to the end of his career in Iran. A former international for Mozambique, the “Comboio da Luz” won the Portuguese Cup, the Spanish Cup, the Iranian league and the Copa Intertoto.
