FC Porto was the second title candidate to stumble on its visit to Esgueira, this Saturday, returning home, as had happened to Sporting, with a defeat, in this case by 67-76, a result that leaves the Dragão team two points behind leader Benfica who still has a game to spare. FC Porto even reached the break leading 37-28, in a first half in which the defenses were better than the attacks, but with the visitors gaining the upper hand thanks to a double-double by Gonçalo Delgado in fifteen minutes (13 points and 10 rebounds). However, Esgueira began to grow in the second half, recovered point by point and ended up taking the lead in the final two minutes, highlighted by the performances of Delvin Barnstable (21 points) and Malik Porter (20 points). On FC Porto's side, Gonçalo Delgado was the main highlight, with a total of 17 points and 15 rebounds, but Robbie Beran (15), Cornelius Hudson (13) and Tanner Omlid (10) also reached double digits. A great result for the Aveiro team, the only one that has managed, so far, to beat Sporting and FC Porto at home.
