The AVS clarified, this Friday, that Antoine Baroan suffered a fracture of the tibia and fibula of his left leg, in the defeat against Sporting (3-2), the day before, in the quarter-finals of the Portuguese Cup. The Vila das Aves-based club reported that the French forward was “stabilized while still on the pitch”, after the violent clash with Luis Suárez. Afterwards, he went to the Hospital de São José and was admitted, this Friday, to the Hospital de Famalicão. Baroan will still be transported to the Private Hospital of Paredes, to undergo surgery on Saturday, with the AVS clinical department monitoring the entire process. The AVS winter reinforcement, who was making his debut for the new team, was injured in the final stretch of regulation time. Colleagues and opponents were immediately worried, especially Suárez, who has already left a message on social media.
