Remco Evenepoel (Red Bull - BORA - hansgrohe) is the new leader of the Tour of the Valencian Community, after winning the “queen” stage of the race that ends this Sunday. The Belgian cyclist took off on the penultimate climb of the day and left all the competition behind, including João Almeida (UAE Team Emirates). You could say that it was a take-off in the style of the Olympic champion and that it only ended at the finish line. Behind Evenepoel was a group made up of the Portuguese, who finished the fourth stage in second place (24 seconds behind) and beat the Italian Giulio Pellizzari (Red Bull - BORA - hansgrohe) in the sprint. When it comes to the general classification, Remco now has a 31 second advantage over João Almeida and 34 over his teammate, Pellizzari, with the last stage taking place this Sunday, with a 94.7 kilometer connection between Bétera and Valencia, with two mountain counts, one of them first category.
