After ten victories in the first ten rounds, Al Nassr stumbled in the Saudi championship, draw against Al Ettifaq (2-2)on Tuesday afternoon. The game started with a shock for Jorge Jesus' team, when, in the sixth minute, Saad Al Nasser received a red card for a harsh tackle on Madallah Al Olayan. The Al Nassr full-back was saved by the VAR, who suggested to the referee that he review the images and the card was changed to yellow. However, the hosts were on top and scored in the 16th minute, with a well-placed shot from Georginio Wijnaldum, benefiting from a very questionable approach by Iñigo Martínez. The goal conceded woke up Al Nassr and moments of intense harassment of Al Ettifaq's goal followed. João Félix was one of the most restless in the first half, he was the starter, as were Cristiano Ronaldo and Wesley, Benfica's target for the January market. Félix didn't score in the first half, but did so right after the break. In the 47th minute, the Portuguese forward received the ball in a good position and shot well for the equalizer. This time, the ball deflected off Ronaldo and the goal - unintentionally - was awarded to the captain, who remains equal with his compatriot on the list of top scorers in the Saudi League (both with 13 goals). Félix or Cristiano goal? We let you decide 😂#sporttvportugal #SAUDInasporttv #AlEttifaq #AlNassr #BetclicSaudita pic.twitter.com/aApernuYr9 — sport tv (@sporttvportugal) December 30, 2025 Al Ettifaq, however, continued to threaten with direct play and, at the start of the last ten minutes, restored equality, again through Wijnaldum. Fighting against the clock, Al Nassr still threatened to reach 3-2 - Coman even hit the woodwork in stoppage time - but were no longer able to avoid their first slip-up of the season in the championship. Jorge Jesus' team still remains in the lead, with 31 points, three more than Al Taawon, in second place. Al Hilal is third, with 26 points and one game in hand. Al Nassr now has three complicated games ahead: the visit to Al Ahli (January 2), the reception to Al Qadisiya (January 8) and the visit to Al Hilal (January 12).
