Fabio Quartararo and Jorge Martín are preparing to take part in a change of teams in the world's main motorcycle racing championship involving two teams: Yamaha and Honda. According to the website MotorsportQuartararo will be a Honda rider from 2027, the same year that Jorge Martín is expected to move to Yamaha. The 26-year-old Frenchman and current Yamaha rider has a contract valid for two seasons, after having achieved 11 victories, 32 podiums and 21 pole positions with the Japanese team. In turn, Jorge Martín will also have a two-year contract waiting for him with Quartararo's current team, after a season at Aprilia that did not go well for the former world champion. If this change is confirmed, Jorge Martín will race for three different teams in four years, after his stints at Pramac Ducati (2024) and two seasons at Aprilia (2025 and 2026). For now, the two riders are preparing to begin the MotoGP pre-season tests, which will take place between the 6th and 7th of February, on the Malaysian circuit.
