The Spaniard's eighth goal in 18 games for the principality team put the team ahead at the final whistle of the first half. The remaining three goals came in the second half. In the 50th minute, Akliouche doubled the hosts' lead after Ouattara shot against the post. Coulibaly made it 3-0 in the 59th minute, after a pass from Biereth, and in the 89th minute, the forward assisted again, now for Idumbo to score the final 4-0. After this victory, Monaco rose to 10th place in the standings. Rennes remains in 6th place with 31 points, four more than the Monegasques.
