The Gabonese Football Federation announced, this Tuesday, that the country's government has lifted the suspension of the team, due to poor results in the African Cup of Nations (CAN). Remember that in addition to the initial measure, the coach was fired and Bruno Manga, team captain, and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, one of the sub-captains, had been removed. Gabon recorded three defeats in three games in the CAN group stage. The same note states that the Gabon Ministry of Sports will now take the “necessary measures” to present a new technical team.
