A few hours after issuing a statement, in which they contested the decision of the Portuguese Football Federation (FPF) to change the game against Sp. Braga to the Cup, Caldas took to social media to reinforce the feeling of «sadness, anger and incomprehension» and even threatened not to be present at this Wednesday's meeting. In a message shared on social media, in which the spokespeople are André Simões, coach José Vala and the club's group of captains, the club speaks of a «hard blow», due to the fact that it found out, just 24 hours before the start of the game, that it would not take place at Campo da Mata. «Today's game is not just a football game. It's a unique moment, celebrating from morning to night, with a smile on our faces for representing the club we love in the premier competition of Portuguese football. Taking Campo da Mata away from us, less than 24 hours before the game, is a serious blow. They are taking our souls”, it can be read. Read Caldas’s publication in full here:
