Al Muharraq, coached by Portuguese Nandinho, beat Al Najma 2-0 and regained command of the Bahrain league, even though they played one less game than Malkia and Al Rifaa, who now share second place with Al Khalidiyah. The game was resolved with a goal in each half, scored by Arthur Rezende (25m) and Juninho Piauiense (54m). Still undefeated in the competition, Al Muharraq recorded their third consecutive victory in the championship, which they lead with 20 points, two more than the trio made up of Malkia, Al Rifaa and Al Khalidiyah.
