Good news for Custódio. Alverca was notified this Thursday by FIFA regarding the lifting of the punishment imposed on SAD, and is once again authorized to register new players. The ban on signing new players, for three transfer windows, applied to Alverca last Friday by FIFA, was due to issues related to the signing of Brazilian goalkeeper Matheus Mendes from Atlético Mineiro. In a statement, the club reported that it had received the green light from FIFA to be able to re-sign players in this transfer market. «FC Alverca – Futebol, SAD informs that it has already been officially notified by FIFA of the lifting of the transfer ban which affected the SAD, being fully qualified to register players", says the club. Alverca adds that this outcome confirms that there are no “debts owed to clubs”, highlighting that “it has always guided its actions by rigor, transparency and scrupulous compliance with its financial and regulatory obligations”. «FC Alverca – Futebol, SAD thus reaffirms its commitment to responsible, sustainable management and aligned with the best practices of professional football», he concludes.
