A banner was hung in front of Cidade do Futebol, in protest in relation to the meeting between Santa Clara and Sporting that dictated the lions' qualification for the quarter-finals of the Portuguese Cup. «12+VARgonha», it can be read, in a probable allusion to the 12 minutes (which in reality were 14) that the VAR took to award the penalty in favor of Sporting already in the second half's added time. Following this match, Santa Clara has already asked for several clarifications. The FPF's national technical director of arbitration, Duarte Gomes, criticized the performance of the VAR, which also asked for exemption from the next League game.
