This Thursday, Grémio announced the signing of Weverton, a 38-year-old goalkeeper who thus puts an end to his long association with Palmeiras where he spent eight consecutive seasons as a starter, the last six under the command of Abel Ferreira, with natural emphasis on winning two Copa Libertadores. A new adventure for the goalkeeper who was Olympic champion in Rio 2016 and who, before Palmeiras, had already defended the goals of Corinthians, Portuguesa, Botafogo and Atlético Paranaense in a journey that opened the doors to the national team, having represented Brazil in the 2021 Copa América and also in the 2022 World Cup.
