Eric Moreira, a defender with dual Portuguese and German nationality, is no longer a Rio Ave player. The Vila Conde club reported, this Thursday, that it had reached “an understanding” with Nottingham Forest to end the transfer before the scheduled period (June 2026).
Remember that both clubs are led by Greek businessman Evangelos Marinakis. Rio Ave says that Moreira will continue his career at the English club.
Eric Moreira only played three official games for Rio Ave, against FC Porto, Tondela and Estoril. Moreira is a youth international for Germany, 19 years old, and is Diego Moreira’s cousin. Before joining Nottingham in 2024, he played for St. Pauli.
