After leaving Nantes in 17th and penultimate place in the French championship – two defeats in 15 rounds – Luís Castro takes over as coach of the last team in the Spanish championship – Levante, who on Saturday afternoon drew against Real Sociedad (1-1). Levante has 10 points and two defeats in 16 rounds, five points away from a safe zone. After a brief spell in Greece, he guided Benfica's juniors, under-23s and under-23s, between 2019 and 2023. There followed seasons with French side Dunkerque, in the French second division and with emphasis on the Cup campaigns. After two seasons, he went to Nantes last summer, but ended the cycle on December 11th. Luís Castro's debut for Levante will take place on January 4th, during the visit to Sevilla (10th).
