Mexican authorities seized a collection of around 50 competition motorcycles that belonged to Ryan James Wedding, a former Canadian Olympic athlete who is on the list of people wanted by the FBI for allegedly leading a drug cartel and committing violent crimes.

Among the seized motorcycles will be several Ducatis that were, at one time, driven by Valentino Rossi, Jorge Lorenzo or Loris Capirossi. The collection is valued at around 34 million euros.

The news was confirmed by the FBI in a post on social media in which it recalls that any information leading to the arrest or conviction of Ryan James Wedding is worth a reward of 15 million dollars, 12.7 million euros at the current rate.

Wedding, now 44 years old, participated in the 2002 Winter Olympics as part of the Canadian delegation, in snowboarding, in what was his last official competition.

Several episodes followed involving the North American justice system, which in 2024 accused him of leading an organized criminal group involved in cocaine trafficking and murders, including civilians. Since then, his whereabouts have not been known to the authorities.
