FC Porto lost at home to Barcelona in the fifth round of Group A of the Champions League (5-3), on Thursday night. In a first half of persistent zero, the score was only opened three minutes before the break, by Marc Grau, in favor of the Catalans. In the complementary stage, less than three minutes were enough for Xavi Barroso to apply the “Lei do Ex” and double the away advantage. Between the Dragons' losses, Barcelona made it 3-0 through Sergi Llorca at 33m. A minute later, Carlo Di Benedetto reduced it. This was not a productive night for FC Porto when it came to set pieces, so Barcelona took the opportunity to extend their lead following Xavi Barroso's brace, nine minutes before the final horn. Until the end, Hélder Nunes and Mena reduced the score for the Dragons, scoring in the 45th and 49th minutes, respectively. In between, Aragonès scored the visitors' fifth (46m). Thus, Barcelona took the lead in Group A, with 13 points, one advantage over FC Porto. In the qualifying zone for the “quarters” the Italians of Trissino (10 points) and the Spanish of Reus (three points) continue, followed by the Spanish of Igualada (three points) and the French of Saint-Omer (zero points).
