Feyenoord drew on Sunday afternoon against Twente (1-1), with Portuguese winger Gonçalo Borges in the spotlight, scoring the goal that prevented the Rotterdam team from defeat. In the duel on the 17th round, Daan Rots gave Twente the lead, in the 19th minute of the first half, with a left-footed shot into the area. In the second half, in the 74th minute, Gonçalo Borges, assisted by Anel Ahmedhodzic, scored a first-time shot, from a trivela, to make it 1-1 on the scoreboard. He scored his second goal in his 10th game for the Dutch team in 2025/26. Gonçalo Borges' goal: In the next minute, and already with a yellow card, Luciano Valente received a second yellow card and was sent off, leaving Feyenoord reduced to ten players. The result, however, did not change. This in a game that was not easy for the team coached by Robin Van Persie, after elimination in the Cup and in which German goalkeeper Timon Wellenreuther ended up being considered the figure of the game, saving Feyenoord from defeat. Feyenoord stumbles in the title race and leaves PSV (who also beat Utrecht 2-1 this Sunday) with an 11-point lead at the top: they have 46, to Feyenoord's 35, followed by Ajax in third, with 30 points. Utrecht is ranked seventh, with 25 points, the same as sixth, AZ Alkmaar. In between, there is also NEC Nijmegen in fourth with 29 points and Groningen in fifth with 27.
