Kazuyoshi Miura, who has already played for Portugal, will continue his football career at the age of 58. The striker, who turns 59 in February 2026, was officially signed as a reinforcement for Fukushima United, in the Japanese third tier, on loan from Yokohama. The forward arrives from Atletico Suzuka, in the fourth tier, having been an option in seven matches in 2025. «My passion for football has never changed, even over the years», said the forward, on his way to his 17th club and his 41st season as a professional. Miura, nicknamed «King Kazu» in Japan, had a spell in Portugal, between 2023 and 2024, having played eight games for Oliveirense in the II League. At national team level, Miura has 89 caps and 55 goals for the Japan national team, for which he is the second best scorer of all time. He made his senior debut with Santos, from Brazil, in 1986. During his career he played for clubs in Brazil, Italy, Croatia and Australia, interspersed with various experiences in Japan.
