<br><div> <p data-end="478" data-start="179">The Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) announced this Wednesday that it will appeal the sanctions applied by the African Football Confederation (CAF), following the incidents recorded in the CAN 2026 final, which was involved in much controversy and was won by Senegal</p> <p data-end="834" data-start="480">In a statement, the FRMF states that it was aware of the decisions of the CAF disciplinary panel, but considers that the punishments "are not in line with the scale and severity" of the events that occurred, which included the removal of Senegal players and staff from the pitch during the match, the invasion of the field by Senegalese fans and violent clashes with the police.</p> <p data-end="1126" data-is-last-node="" data-is-only-node="" data-start="836">The Moroccan federation also recalls that it has already explained this position in a letter sent by its president to the CAF leader and therefore confirmed the decision to appeal the sanctions now decreed.</p> <p data-end="1126" data-is-last-node="" data-is-only-node="" data-start="836">Remember, the CAN final that pitted Morocco and Senegal against each other ended up having several incidents involving players, fans and security forces.</p> </div>
