The alarms are ringing in Liverpool: Alexander Isak was injured in the victory over Tottenham (2-1) on Saturday and the Reds fear that the Swedish striker has suffered a fracture in his left leg. According to Sky Sports and The Athletic, the 26-year-old player will still undergo an MRI, but everything points to the injury being serious and requiring a few months out. Isak was introduced at half-time against Tottenham and scored in the 56th minute, however, he was injured during the shot, due to a challenge from Micky van de Ven. The former Newcastle player had to be replaced immediately. Liverpool's most expensive signing this season (almost 150 million euros), Isak missed almost the entire pre-season due to the transfer impasse and is slow to establish himself in the team: in 16 games, he only concedes three goals.
