After Belenenses, Mafra, Académica and União de Santarém guaranteed access to the promotion phase of League 3, this Sunday it was the turn of Varzim, Trofense and Vitória de Guimarães B to join Amarante, who had already guaranteed qualification. On the 18th and final day of the group in the North, Amarante drew with Trofense to one goal, while Vitória de Guimarães B won on their visit to Sanjoanense (10th), 3-2. Completing this quartet, Varzim achieved their third consecutive victory, this time on their visit to Marco 09 (8th), 3-1. Next to this lot was Paredes, who triumphed in their visit to São João de Ver (9th), by 2-1, and totaled 27 points, one behind Varzim and Trofense, and two points behind Amarante and Vitória B. Furthermore, Sp. Braga (6th) and Fafe (7th) drew 2-2, finishing with 25 and 24 points, respectively. Thus, the climb phase will feature Belenenses, Mafra, Académica, União de Santarém, Varzim, Trofense, Vitória de Guimarães B and Amarante. These teams will play 14 games – away and home – with the two best classified teams moving up to the professional championships. Compared to last season, Belenenses, Varzim and Amarante repeat their presence at this stage. As for the maintenance zone, two groups of six teams will decide the four relegated to the fourth division, that is, the Portuguese Championship.
