Nigeria is the third team to secure a place in the CAN semis. The “Super Eagles” overcame Algeria (2-0) and joined Morocco and Senegal in the next stage of the competition. Zaidu, FC Porto defender, was once again an unused substitute for Nigeria, who eliminated Geny Catamo's Mozambique in the round of 16.
