By beating Ovarense 74-62, in a delayed match on the eighth round, FC Porto equalized the vareiros in third place in the regular phase of the League, both adding 17 points, one less than Sporting and Benfica, with the eaglesstill undefeated, have one less game played. Coming from a quiet 98-79 victory against Sp. Braga, the Porto fans still had a bad time in the first period, which ended with Ovar's team ahead 23-15. However, in the second half, Cornelius Hudson “appeared”, the figure of the match with 22 points and 11 rebounds. The North American winger was important for the 28-11 run the Dragons achieved in the second period, which allowed them to reach the break with a nine-point advantage (43-34). The second half didn't have so many fluctuations, with FC Porto managing to manage the advantage and, thus, winning without any surprises. Tanner Omlid (13 points and nine rebounds) and Javian Davis (14 points and six rebounds) also caught the Porto fans' attention, while Jay Heath Jr, with 16 points and six rebounds, was the best on Ovarense's side. Next weekend, FC Porto visits the Esgueira pavilion (Saturday, 9pm) and Ovarense plays in Braga (Sunday, 6:45pm).
