Completing the 15th season with a dragon on his chest, Diogo Costa was “very happy” for having signed a new contract, valid until 2030. «I think everyone knows the history I have at this club and what they can expect from me. I have no shortage of reasons to sign this renewal. My family and I are very happy,” the Portuguese international goalkeeper began by saying, speaking to the Blue and White channels. The 26-year-old player also highlighted the desire of both parties to reach an understanding. «In a contract renewal there must always be an agreement, but as soon as this possibility arose I was available to listen to FC Porto and I am very grateful to know that they continue to believe in me and in what I can bring to the club in the future.» Diogo Costa also recalled his career at the club where he always dreamed of playing. «I wasn't sure if I would one day be a football player at FC Porto, but that was always my biggest dream. It's a dream that makes me very happy and makes me feel like a fulfilled man, especially for being a captain, which is something I never imagined. I'm very grateful for the story I've written so far and looking forward to the future», he concluded. #WeFollowTogether 🤝 @DiogoMCosta99 pic.twitter.com/WXVZziOl5n — FC Porto (@FCPorto) December 23, 2025
