May 4, 2024. That was the last time Cristiano Ronaldo made a hat trick. Despite having scored 41 goals since celebrating his 40th birthday and being increasingly close to reaching the much-desired 1,000 goals (he has 957), the Portuguese international ended 2025 without scoring three times in a single game and broke the record that had stood for 16 consecutive years. The Al Nassr captain even celebrated a hat trick this December, in the victory against Al Akhdoud (3-0), by Paulo Sérgio, but the third goal was disallowed for offside. Since arriving in Saudi Arabia three years ago, Ronaldo has six hat tricks. To remember the last year in which Ronaldo didn't score a hat trick we have to go back to... 2009. The first time he scored three goals in a single game was on January 12, 2008, playing for Manchester United, against Newcastle (6-0), and then he only did so again for Real Madrid, on May 5, 2010.
