Emanuele Galeppin, a 16-year-old golfer, is the first confirmed fatal victim in the tragedy in a bar in Crans-Montana, Switzerland, which occurred on New Year’s Eve.
The tragic fire resulted in 47 deaths and 115 injuries. This is the second victim in the world of sport, after Tahirys Dos Santos, a Metz player, was seriously burned.
Emanuele Galeppini was a young promise of Italian golf and would have turned 17 on January 21st. The news of his death was confirmed by the Italian Golf Federation in a statement.
