Marc-André ter Stegen will undergo surgery due to a thigh muscle injury suffered in the match against Real Oviedo, Girona announced in a statement.
The 33-year-old goalkeeper suffered an injury to a tendon in his left leg and will have to undergo surgery, with the length of his layoff to be determined later.
The German international is at Girona on loan, remember, from Barcelona. Currently, the Spanish team occupies 12th place in the Spanish league with 25 points.
