Díaz de Mera was the referee of the game between Real Madrid and Rayo Vallecano at the Bernabéu. An arbitration protested by the Vallecas team, especially in the nine minutes of added time.
After the match, the referee reflected in the minutes an incident with Cobeño, Rayo Vallecano’s sporting director.
“After the match ended, when I was going to the referee’s dressing roomthe sporting director of Rayo Vallecano, Mr. David Cobeño Iglesias addressed us out loud on several occasions in the following terms: “all parties are equal”. Later, when the fourth referee entered the dressing room, he addressed him in a loud voice and repeated several times: “you are all the same, I shit on my fucking mother”. “These incidents occurred in the presence of the party delegate,” he wrote.
