The Australian Open final started to shake up, came the kick that lifted everyone from their seats at Rod Laver Arena. It even provoked an incredulous smile from Rafael Nadalguest of honor, who enthusiastically applauded the play.
The Australian Open described it as “insane”. He invited you to “sit back and enjoy two logic-defying masters of their craft.” A true virgueria. A genius of Novak Djokovic to which he replied Carlos Alcaraz to win the point.
Djokovic, very open, threw his backhand past the net post, which is allowed. It seemed to have surprised Alcaraz, who followed the play perfectly, executing an ‘in extremis’ response that gave him the point.
Show at Rod Laver Arena. An example of all the effort that Novak Djokovic, 38, was making to fight with the current number 1, from least to most in the match. At that time, 2-6, 6-2, 1-2, but with Carlos Alcaraz growing. And there is no better fuel for it than a ‘boot’.
