After the enormous controversy that involved Morocco and Senegal in the final moments of regulation time, Brahim Díaz placed the ball on the eleven meter mark and wasted a penalty… awarded «Panenka style».
It all happened when 24 minutes (!) of the 90 minutes had passed and the Real Madrid midfielder had the opportunity to give Morocco the victory in the African Cup of Nations final. In an attempt to surprise Mendy, Brahim Díaz’s subtle touch ended up in the hands of the Senegalese goalkeeper and the game went into extra time.
