Rúben Neves was a central figure in Al Hilal's victory over Neom, in the 16th round of the Saudi Arabian championship. The Portuguese central midfielder scored and assisted in the 2-1 victory. In a difficult game for Simone Inzaghi's men, Al Hilal started with Marcos Leonardo and Darwin Nuñez, both ex-Benfica, in the attacking duo. Portuguese goalkeeper Luís Maximiano (ex-Sporting) was a starter for Neom. The home team reached the goal first, in the 42nd minute, with Al Burayk scoring. In the second half, Rúben Neves took a corner to the right which resulted in a goal from central defender Tambakti (49m). The same Tambakti suffered the penalty that led to the 2-1 and consequent turnaround. Rúben Neves took charge of converting it, very calmly. Al Hilal remains unbeatable in the championship, with 41 points in 15 games. He adds seven more than the Al Nassr of Jorge Jesus, Cristiano Ronaldo and João Félix. Neom is tenth, with 20 points.
